Overview: The Yacht and Country Club in Stuart is a private 18-hole course that now plays up to 6,574 yards. The current design uses multiple tee boxes, strategic angles and a steady coastal breeze to offer different levels of challenge.
History: The club says the original course was designed by Charles P. Martyn and that it recently reopened after a Tom Pearson redesign. Pearson's long association with Nicklaus Design is part of the club's published account of the renovation.
Did You Know? The club's own hole notes identify a leaning palm tree on the third hole as a strategic feature, showing how the redesign uses local landscape elements as playing decisions.
