Overview: The Wynn Golf Club is an 18-hole Tom Fazio course on the Las Vegas Strip, where mature trees, streams, waterfalls and broad fairways create a secluded parkland setting inside the city. The official course page lists 6,722 yards and par 70. Its appeal comes from the contrast between the Strip outside the property and the quiet, heavily landscaped routing inside it. The design asks for controlled placement and thoughtful approaches, but the scenery is deliberately composed, with water and changing ground supplying the visual rhythm.
History: Wynn Golf Club opened with Wynn Las Vegas in 2005 on the land of the former Desert Inn Golf Club. The Desert Inn course dates to 1952 and hosted the PGA Tour Tournament of Champions from 1953 through 1966. Tom Fazio transformed that golf property for the Wynn resort, and in 2019 he refreshed the layout with his son Logan Fazio. The current course therefore combines a mid-century Las Vegas golf site with two Fazio design chapters.
Did You Know? The eighteenth hole finishes beside a dramatic waterfall, an unusual closing image for a course surrounded by the Las Vegas Strip. The waterfall is part of the present Fazio composition, while the mature trees across the property preserve a visual link to the earlier Desert Inn course.
