Overview: The V Golf Club lies within the Vilnius Grand Resort landscape, where rolling ground, quiet lakes and pine and birch woodland frame Bob Hunt’s modern course. The 18-hole layout plays to par 72 and extends to about 6,903 yards from the longest markers. Its design combines Scottish links influences with American parkland ideas, using open fairway movement, natural water and carefully shaped playing surfaces to create variety. The resort setting brings a sense of scale, but the course remains grounded in the surrounding Lithuanian countryside, with broad views and changing vegetation shaping the round.
History: The course opened in autumn 2009 as part of the Vilnius Grand Resort development. Bob Hunt was brought into the project during the planning stage to create a course that respected the existing landscape, and the finished layout became one of the resort’s central sporting facilities. The official course record gives the full length as 6,312 metres, approximately 6,903 yards. In 2019 The V Golf Club became a certified venue for the CPG Pro-Am and EGA European Team Amateur Men’s and Women’s Championships, confirming its role beyond resort play.
Did You Know? The course covers a landscape of roughly 690 acres within the wider Vilnius Grand Resort grounds. Its high-quality practice and playing areas were built to USGA design standards, while the course itself uses the lakes and forest edges as recurring visual and strategic features. The V therefore works as both a championship-scale destination and a practical setting for players developing their game, with the resort, practice facilities and course all within one connected landscape.
