Overview: Peirce/Forest is an 18-hole combination at Singapore Island Country Club’s New Course, pairing the par-36 Peirce nine with the par-35 Forest nine. The result is a par-71 round through the Island site’s mature tropical landscape. Peirce provides the fuller championship rhythm, while Forest brings a more enclosed and distinctive wooded character. Together they create a course that asks players to adapt between two nines rather than relying on one repeated visual style.
History: The New Course opened in 2021 as a Graham Marsh redevelopment of the former New Course area. Its three nines, Millennium, Peirce and Forest, are designed to be played in three different 18-hole combinations. Peirce/Forest is one of those exact combinations, distinct from Forest/Millennium and Millennium/Peirce in both sequence and par. The directory label is therefore kept as a real current routing rather than treated as a duplicate facility name.
Did You Know? Forest’s par-35 nine is the reason this combination plays to par 71. The difference is not just a scorecard curiosity: it reflects the shorter nine’s distinctive mix of holes and helps explain why SICC can offer three combinations from 27 holes without making them interchangeable. The surrounding nature reserve and reservoir landscape also make the transition into Forest feel noticeably more enclosed and atmospheric.
