Overview: The Reserve is a private desert course in Indian Wells, set against the Santa Rosa Mountains. Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish shaped an 18-hole, par-72 layout that balances broad desert views with a carefully preserved natural setting. The longest published tees measure about 7,021 yards; current scorecard versions and golf databases vary slightly by tee set.
History: The club was developed through a long planning process focused on preserving the desert ecosystem and conserving water. The course opened in 1998 after the surrounding property was planned as a low-density mountain-desert community, with existing rock and vegetation incorporated into the design.
Did You Know? The Reserve’s clubhouse history describes a ten-year development process in which ecosystem preservation and water conservation were treated as core design requirements.
