The Omni Grove Park Inn

Overview: The Grove Park Golf Course at Omni Grove Park Inn is a resort-access Donald Ross course in Asheville. It uses the foothill setting at the base of Sunset Mountain, with elevation, mature trees and mountain views shaping a compact historic resort routing.

History: Donald Ross originally designed the course in 1926. Omni says the layout was overhauled in 2001 to preserve its feel and spirit, so the current course should be described as a Ross-origin course with later work rather than as an untouched 1926 layout.

Did You Know? Asheville historic records describe earlier golf at the property before the Ross course. The current layout therefore represents several generations of local golf on the same mountain-side setting.
