Overview: The current South Course is an 18-hole private layout at par 70, combining parkland corridors with the mature urban landscape of the club’s Wilshire setting.
History: W. Herbert Fowler designed the original South Course, which dates to the club’s first 1921 courses. John Harbottle III later worked on the course, and Gil Hanse with Geoff Shackelford led the major restoration and redesign that opened the current South Course in 2016.
Did You Know? The South Course is not a new piece of land disguised as an old course. Its current identity is the result of a 2016 opening built on a historic 1921 foundation, which is why the architect field includes both original and modern design credits.
