Overview: The Links Course at Evermore Orlando Resort is Jack Nicklaus's tribute to the Old Course at St Andrews. Double greens, stone bridges and walls, burns, gorse mounds, and deep pot bunkers give the Orlando layout a clear Scottish vocabulary, while generous interior fairways allow golfers to choose how aggressively to play. Limited trees and relatively little water keep the focus on ground contours and approach angles.
History: The course opened in 1988 as part of Grand Cypress Golf and remains the older of the two Nicklaus courses now operated at Evermore. Its design deliberately references St Andrews without copying every strategic detail, using Florida's meadowland and native vegetation as the setting for the homage. The surrounding resort has since changed names and expanded, but the Links routing remains the property's distinctive architectural statement.
Did You Know? Some of the pot bunkers are reported to reach roughly 12 feet in depth, an unusual scale for a resort course. The double greens and stonework reinforce the Old Course reference from the first hole through the finish.
