Overview: The Links at Crowbush Cove is Prince Edward Island’s north-shore destination course, routed through dunes, coastal wind and inland fairway ground before returning toward the water. Thomas McBroom’s 18-hole, par-72 design reaches 6,903 yards from the back tees, with undulating fairways, pot bunkers, water holes and demanding green contours. The course is challenging because the wind and landform keep changing the value of otherwise familiar shots.
History: Crowbush was built in 1993 and quickly established itself as one of PEI’s signature golf properties. Golf Digest recognised it as Canada’s Best New Course in 1994, and the course later hosted the 1998 Export “A” Skins Game and the 2007 Legends of Golf event. Its place in the provincial golf portfolio is tied to the combination of public access, resort infrastructure and a genuinely coastal routing.
Did You Know? The course’s strongest visual moments come from the transition between inland holes and the north-shore dunes, where a small change in wind can alter the correct line into a green. The red-sand bunkers and wisp of coastal breeze are not decorative details; they are the features that make Crowbush play like a links course on an island better known for gentle scenery.
