Overview: Lincoln Hills Golf Club’s Orchard Course is a public 18-hole parkland layout in Lincoln, playing to par 72 and about 7,042 yards. Greg H. Nash’s design uses the Sacramento Valley setting, with broad fairways, mature planting and water shaping a longer companion to the club’s Hills Course.
History: The Orchard Course was completed around 2005 as the second 18-hole layout at Lincoln Hills. Greg H. Nash is associated with its design, while the earlier Hills Course is linked to Billy Casper and Nash. Keeping the dates and architects distinct prevents the two scorecards from being merged into one generic club profile.
Did You Know? The Orchard name is literal enough to be useful: it identifies the newer of Lincoln Hills’ two courses and separates the longer 7,042-yard card from the Hills routing. At one club, the two layouts offer different scales of parkland golf.
