Overview: Graham Cooke & Associates shaped The Harvest Golf Club as a parkland course in Kelowna’s Okanagan Valley. The current club record lists par 72 and 7,109 yards, with wide fairways winding through a hillside orchard above the city and Okanagan Lake. More than 800 fruit trees remain among the holes, and parts of the property continue to support apple and wine-grape production. The result is a course where open views, gentle land movement and agricultural ground shape both the atmosphere and the strategy.
History: The Harvest was established in 1994 on land that retained its agricultural use. Cooke’s design had to fit a championship-length course around working orchards and the natural Okanagan setting, rather than clearing the property into a conventional housing development. The current club and regional golf records support the opening year, designer, par and yardage. The name Harvest reflects the land’s continuing fruit-growing history, not simply a resort brand.
Did You Know? The course contains more than 800 fruit trees and shares parts of its property with working apple and wine-grape orchards. That makes the Okanagan’s agricultural cycle part of the round: the landscape changes with blossom, summer growth and autumn colour. A golfer can therefore read The Harvest as both a parkland course and a working orchard routed around Kelowna’s lake views.
