Overview: The Grand Golf Club is an ultra-exclusive private parkland course located in Gilston, in the Gold Coast hinterland of Queensland. Designed by Greg Norman and Bob Harrison, the layout winds through dense eucalyptus trees, natural creeks, and wetlands. Free of residential development, the course features pristine fairways and contoured greens.
History: Opened in 1997, the club was established as a high-end private enclave. The course initially faced financial difficulties but was rescued by members who purchased the club to secure its future. The design focuses on walking play and natural aesthetics, incorporating the scenic hinterland hills.
Did You Know? The Grand hosted the 2001 Australian Open, which was won by Stuart Appleby. The event was highly acclaimed for the pristine condition of the fairways and greens.
