Overview: The Glen Club is a Tom Fazio course in Glenview, Illinois, built on the former Glenview Naval Air Station. Fazio used a blank slate to create rolling fairways, shaped green complexes and a parkland setting that feels much less flat than the original airfield.
History: The Glen Club opened in 2001 on land formerly occupied by the naval air station. Before opening, the project moved about 2.4 million cubic yards of earth and planted roughly 4,000 trees to establish the course's topography and landscape.
Did You Know? The Glen Club was selected as the home of the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame before it opened. It also became the only course named to all three major American top-ten new-course lists in its opening period.
