Overview: The Glades Golf Club is a resort course located in Robina on Queensland's Gold Coast. Designed by Greg Norman and Bob Harrison and opened in 2000, the layout features a creek-style routing where natural wetlands and water hazards come into play on almost every hole. The course is notable for being one of the few on the Gold Coast to feature bentgrass greens.
History: Opened in 2000, the layout was designed by Greg Norman to provide a challenging championship experience integrated with the region’s natural flood plains. Over the years, the club has retained its reputation for having fast, high-quality bentgrass putting surfaces in a subtropical climate, supported by specialized turf management.
Did You Know? To support the creeping bentgrass greens in the humid Gold Coast climate, the greens are constructed with specialized sub-surface drainage and ventilation systems to keep the soil cool.
