Overview: The General at Eagle Ridge is the Galena resort course identified by the Top100 Eagle Ridge The General ranking. Roger Packard and Andy North designed the par-72 course across the steepest ground at Eagle Ridge, using the hills above Lake Galena to create repeated elevation changes.
History: Opened in 1997, The General was the last of Eagle Ridge Resort's main layouts to arrive and is separate from the plain Eagle Ridge Golf Course directory row in Paris, Illinois. The ranking was remapped to the Galena resort course before this profile was created.
Did You Know? Eagle Ridge describes The General as having nearly 300 feet of elevation change from the first hole to the eighteenth, a defining feature of the round.
