Overview: The Founders Golf and Social Club in Sarasota has an 18-hole championship course shaped by the contours of its site and the strategic vocabulary of traditional Scottish links. The official course page emphasizes gently rolling terrain and a walkable layout. The primary material reviewed does not give a verified architect, par or yardage, and the opening date is left unassigned.
History: The club emerged during Sarasota’s early-2000s wave of golf-community development, and contemporary reporting places it among the area’s new luxury golf properties at that time. The current course page confirms the present identity, while the exact opening date is left unassigned.
Did You Know? The Founders describes Sarasota’s only traditional caddie program. The caddie offering is notable because it supports walking on a course that the club explicitly presents in a Scottish-links tradition.
