Overview: The Forest is one of two 18-hole courses at The Eagles Golf Club in Odessa. The official course page identifies Gary Koch as the designer of the front nine and Ron Garl as the designer of the back nine. It is a public-access course in the Tampa market, and the Forest routing is known for water, tree-lined holes and a different feel from the Lakes course.
History: The Eagles site says the club has set a standard for public-access golf in the Tampa market since the mid-1990s. The exact opening year of the Forest course was not confirmed in the current official pages, so no year is added.
Did You Know? The 13th hole on the Forest is nicknamed Lake Michigan because of the large lake guarding the green. That locally used name is documented by the club and gives the routing a memorable piece of identity.
