Overview: The Course at Sewanee is a mountain nine-hole layout on the University of the South campus. Its two varied loops use rolling Tennessee ground, native vegetation, and changing views to make the 3,300-yard par-36 course feel more expansive than its compact scorecard suggests.
History: Sewanee's golf course was established in 1915 and was originally laid out with help from Albion W. Knight. Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner renovated the course in 2013, preserving the small-scale character while creating two distinct ways to play the nine holes.
Did You Know? The course's official history credits mules and the University football team with helping build the original course.
