Overview: The Country Club at DC Ranch is a private desert course at the foot of Scottsdale’s McDowell Mountains. Tom Lehman and John Fought’s work gives the layout a strategic desert character, combining open Sonoran views, rocky ground, fairway angles, and mountain-backed holes with a broad choice of tees.
History: The course opened as a Scott Miller design in 1997 and underwent a complete transformation by Tom Lehman and John Fought in 2002. The current course is therefore best understood as a major redesign of the original DC Ranch routing rather than an untouched 1990s layout.
Did You Know? The golf course shares its name with a working cattle-ranch history that reaches back to the early twentieth century. The surrounding DC Ranch community preserves that western identity while the course looks toward the McDowell Sonoran landscape.
