Overview: The Country Club is an 18-hole private course in Santa Rosa and Canlubang, Laguna, designed by Tom Weiskopf on former sugar-cane land. Its rolling terrain, deep ravines, lakes and large, contoured greens create a demanding championship test. The published championship-tees length is 7,652 yards and the course is par 72; a longer Tiger tee has also been reported, so yardage depends on the tee set in use.
History: The course opened in 1997 and later underwent an extensive remodelling that lengthened the championship setup while retaining Weiskopf's original routing. It has been used for the Philippine Open and other high-level Philippine Golf Tour events, which made its water, wind and putting surfaces familiar to tournament players.
Did You Know? The front nine follows a classic going-out-and-coming-back pattern through a relatively narrow part of the property, while the back nine changes direction more often. The Diezumo River and other water features are not background scenery: they influence several holes and shape the strategic character of the course.
