Overview: Eaglebrooke is a semi-private Lakeland course built around rolling fairways, lakes and more than 100 feet of elevation change. Ron Garl designed the 18 holes, with six tee sets and water on 11 holes.
History: Eaglebrooke opened for play in 1996 in southern Polk County. The club records early use of Greg Norman’s GN1 turf and a continuing effort to make the championship layout playable for different levels.
Did You Know? The senior tees were developed from research into older golfers’ preferred playing positions and then incorporated into Ron Garl’s design. Tee placement was treated as architecture rather than an afterthought.
