Overview: The Bedens Brook Club is a private Dick Wilson course in Skillman, New Jersey, set across rolling farmland with natural water hazards and views toward the Sourland Mountains. The course has Wilson’s characteristic classic bunkering and a distinct contrast between open front-nine ground and wooded back-nine holes.
History: The idea for the club began in 1962 when Jack and Mary Murray saw a golf setting in the farm fields around Windy Hill Farm. Dick Wilson was hired to survey the land, and the 18-hole course opened in 1966 after the club was established in the mid-1960s.
Did You Know? Several holes occupy land that was once used for corn, cattle, and sheep. That agricultural inheritance is still legible in the open views and rolling ground, even though Wilson’s bunkers and water hazards now define the playing strategy.
