Overview: Located along the Dulce River in Santiago del Estero, Termas de Rio Hondo Golf Club is a modern parkland layout designed for championship competition. The open routing features wide fairways bordered by sandy waste areas, native grasses, and large water hazards. Strong winds from the flat river plains, combined with massive, multi-tiered greens, demand excellent ball control and precise putting.
History: Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course opened in 2018 as a public initiative by the provincial government to promote tourism. It was built to PGA Tour standards and has hosted the PGA Tour Latinoamérica, representing a major addition to the sporting infrastructure of northern Argentina.
Did You Know? The course uses a specialized hybrid bermudagrass that is highly resistant to the intense summer heat of northern Argentina, ensuring a green, uniform playing surface throughout the year.
