Overview: Tavistock Country Club is a private Alexander Findlay course in Haddonfield, New Jersey, known for flowing ground, imaginative green contours and early American golf architecture. The Hole 7 Left Green reference belongs to the same 18-hole layout and does not describe a separate course.
History: Alexander Findlay designed Tavistock with Francis James supervising construction, and the 18-hole course was ready for play on June 22, 1921. Robert Trent Jones Sr., Ron Force and Jim Nagle later contributed to the course’s evolution, while current planning aims to preserve its historic character.
Did You Know? The club identifies holes 1, 10, 11, 12 and 17 as especially authentic surviving examples of Findlay’s work.
