Overview: Tanglewood Park's Championship Course is a public Robert Trent Jones Sr. design in Clemmons. The course uses rolling parkland and the large Tanglewood property, with a championship-scale layout that remains accessible through the county park system. It is separate from Tanglewood's other course, the Reynolds Course.
History: The Championship Course opened in 1958 and hosted the 1974 PGA Championship. Forsyth County has also worked to return the course to its original routing by reversing the nines, a project intended to present the challenge as Jones originally conceived it.
Did You Know? Tanglewood's Championship Course is the North Carolina site of the 1974 PGA Championship. The county's routing project is a restoration of sequence, not evidence that the course was newly built in the modern era.
