Overview: Tamahka Trails Golf Club is a Steve Smyers resort course on 230 acres of rolling Louisiana terrain near Marksville. The 7,019-yard par-71 layout uses winding creeks, century-old trees, native wildlife, and 75 bunkers to create a strategic course that remains playable from multiple tee sets.
History: Tamahka Trails opened in 2000 as a golf amenity for the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe's Paragon Casino Resort. Smyers designed the course around the wooded site, and the property later became a charter member of the Audubon Golf Trail and a host for state and national qualifying events.
Did You Know? Tamahka means alligator in the Tunica-Biloxi tribal language, which explains the course's name and its recurring alligator theme.
