Overview: Located near Lake Syväri in central Finland, the Lake & Forest Course at Tahko Golf Club is a scenic 18-hole woodland course designed by Jan Sederholm. True to its name, the layout winds through dense, mature pine forests and along the pristine lake margins, featuring significant elevation changes, narrow fairways, and numerous water hazards. The course demands accurate driving to navigate the tight forest corridors and precise approach play to reach the well-defended green complexes.
History: Inaugurated in 2008 as the second championship course in the Golden Resort area of Tahko, Lake & Forest was built to establish a premier year-round active resort destination in Finland. Sederholm utilized the dramatic lakeside topography to create a highly strategic layout that complements the original Old Course, offering a tighter, more technical challenge.
Did You Know? Due to its high northern latitude, the course offers spectacular, panoramic views of the adjacent Lake Syväri and enjoys near-constant daylight during the height of the summer season, allowing golfers to tee off late into the evening.
