Overview: Formerly known as Poniente, T Golf Calvia gives the hills west of Palma a full 18-hole routing. John Harris's routing uses the natural folds of the Mallorcan landscape, combining pine-covered slopes, open fairways, bunkers and water features rather than relying on a flat resort grid. The first impression is scenic, but the course quickly becomes a study in angles and rhythm. Some holes offer room for a confident drive, while others reward a more conservative line that keeps the next shot clear of trouble. The changing elevation and tree corridors make it useful to vary trajectory and club selection throughout the round.
History: The course was inaugurated in 1978 and is associated with the British architect John Harris, with Antonio Bonet also recorded in federation material connected with the course. T Golf later undertook a substantial renovation programme lasting almost two years, aiming to restore the original character while improving the playing surfaces and presentation. That combination of an established layout and a modern resort operation explains why the course still feels rooted in its original landscape rather than newly manufactured.
Did You Know? T Golf Calvia's water is not confined to one signature hole. The federation description notes seven lakes and the official course material presents a series of water features woven through the routing. They alter both the view and the preferred line, so the best strategy often begins before the player reaches the putting surface.
