Overview: Charles Ankrom’s Turtle Run is the more exacting 18-hole layout at Sun ’n Lake Golf Club in Sebring. Narrower landing areas, moguls, deep sand traps and demanding greens make accuracy the central theme.
History: Turtle Run opened in 1999 as the second 18-hole course at Sun ’n Lake. It complements the older Deer Run course and gives the Sebring facility a contrasting, more exacting routing.
Did You Know? Sun ’n Lake’s own comparison is simple: Deer Run is the more forgiving course, while Turtle Run is tighter. That distinction is grounded in the operator’s description of narrow landing zones, moguls and deep bunkers.
