Overview: Sugar Mill’s Red/Blue routing combines two of the private club’s three nines in New Smyrna Beach. Published scorecard data lists a par-72 Blue tee distance of 6,419 yards, while the club describes Joe Lee’s original concept and Ron Garl’s later redesign work.
History: Sugar Mill Country Club opened in 1970. The original Red and White nines came first, the Blue nine was developed in 1984, and the club says the Red and White courses were later redesigned by Ron Garl.
Did You Know? The club is positioned at one of the highest points in Volusia County and describes views in all directions. That elevated setting is unusual for a New Smyrna Beach course and helps explain why the club emphasizes panorama alongside its Audubon certification.
