Overview: The Blue/White routing at Sugar Mill Country Club is one of the 18-hole combinations within the club’s 27-hole private facility in New Smyrna Beach. The course is tied to Joe Lee’s original design, with current course data listing a par-72 Blue tee length of about 6,459 yards.
History: Sugar Mill opened for play in 1970 with Joe Lee’s original Red and White nines; the Blue course was developed later, in 1984. The club also records Ron Garl redesign work on the Red and White courses and a complete Blue-course overhaul in 2015.
Did You Know? Sugar Mill is an Audubon Certified Sanctuary Golf Course, according to the club. Its 27-hole setup allows the club to publish multiple 18-hole combinations rather than treating the three nines as a single fixed routing.
