Overview: The Cypress Course at Stonegate Golf Club at Solivita is an 18-hole course in Kissimmee. Its current club page describes a Clifton, Ezell & Clifton redesign, rolling fairways framed by mature cypress trees, expanded greens and water on 13 holes.
History: Cypress is one half of Stonegate’s 36-hole Solivita facility. The current routing is the product of the Clifton, Ezell & Clifton redesign, which the club says changed many holes and added bulkheaded greens and longer cart paths.
Did You Know? The club highlights the par-3 sixteenth as a water hole played to a large bulkheaded green. That hole is a compact example of the Cypress course’s central design theme: water, cypress and visual pressure around the putting surface.
