Overview: North Naples’ Stonebridge Country Club is a private bundled-golf community around a Gene Bates design. The course is par 72, and current course data lists the longest published tee at about 6,384 yards.
History: Development of the community began in 1989 and the planned-use filing followed in 1991. The official club history says Gene Bates, formerly with the Nicklaus Design Group, designed the course and that it opened in February 1992.
Did You Know? Before the Stonebridge name was adopted, the property was developed as Southampton at Naples. The club’s historical account records that the original course opened to public play with a temporary golf-shop building.
