Overview: Stockholms Golfklubb’s Kevinge course is a historic parkland layout close to central Stockholm. Its character comes from classic strategic lines, carefully placed bunkers, mature trees and greens that reward a precise approach rather than a simple high shot. The urban setting does not make the course feel ordinary. Instead, the routing uses the available ground economically, with changes of direction and subtle slopes creating a thoughtful round in a relatively compact space. Kevinge is a course where placement and imagination matter as much as distance.
History: The Kevinge course opened on 7 October 1932. The club identifies the Colt, Alison and Morrison firm with the design, with Rafael Sundblom also involved in the early project. The layout was rearranged in 2007, and later restoration work returned attention to the historic bunker shapes and the original design language. The current course remains a modern playing version of a pre-war Stockholm classic.
Did You Know? Kevinge is an unusually historic golf setting for such a built-up part of Stockholm. Its survival as a full 18-hole course so close to the city is one reason the club remains important in Swedish golf architecture.
