Overview: Stanwich Club is a Greenwich parkland course by William and David Gordon, laid across rolling ground with mature trees, water, and a sequence of demanding approach angles. The layout’s character comes from its strong land movement and the way individual holes use creeks, lakes, and ridges to frame decisions.
History: The organization was formed in 1962, construction began in 1963, and the course opened on July 11, 1964. The club has since undertaken phased work, including Tom Fazio-led improvements, while retaining the Gordon routing as its foundation.
Did You Know? The club history calls attention to the 13th hole, a par 3 that crosses a creek and lake as it moves through the property.
