Overview: On the eastern side of the Las Vegas Valley, Stallion Mountain Golf Club provides an 18-hole public course, with Sunrise Mountain as its backdrop. The par-72 layout measures 7,120 yards and combines a southwestern setting with mature landscaping, water hazards, deep bunkers and fairways that demand both accuracy and length. The course offers several tee options, but its design still asks players to manage desert edges and shaped green complexes throughout the round.
History: The property opened in 1991 as the 54-hole Sunrise Golf Club. In 2004, Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley modified the facility into one 18-hole course, selecting and reshaping what the owners considered the strongest holes. Jim Colbert and Jeff Brauer are credited with the original design, so the current routing carries both the original 1991 identity and the later consolidation work.
Did You Know? Stallion Mountain has a notable tournament record for a public Las Vegas course. It hosted the Panasonic Las Vegas Invitational, the Frank Sinatra Celebrity Classic and Golf Channel's Big Break II, while Chip Beck recorded a 59 there during the 1991 Las Vegas Invitational.
