Overview: Kansas City’s Staley Farms is an 18-hole private design by Eric Iverson. Rolling fairways, shaped greens and a sequence of strategic hazards give the layout a modern parkland character. Iverson’s work emphasizes the relationship between approach angles and recovery options, so the course rewards thoughtful planning as much as length.
History: Staley Farms was developed around the early 2000s as part of a residential and country-club project. Iverson later joined Renaissance Golf Design, but Staley Farms remains an important early course in his own design career.
Did You Know? Iverson’s Renaissance biography describes Staley Farms as the course he designed on his own before joining the firm. That makes the layout a useful bridge between his early independent work and the broader Renaissance design tradition.
