Overview: Located in Lohja, southern Finland, the Pyhä Lauri course at St. Laurence Golf is an 18-hole parkland layout designed by Kosti Kuronen. The course is routed through a gently rolling landscape of mature pine forests and open meadows, featuring wide fairways, large sand hazards, and expansive green complexes. The layout is designed to be highly playable while offering strategic depth, requiring players to choose careful angles of approach to avoid the deep green-side bunkers.
History: Opened as a 9-hole layout in 1996 and expanded into a full 18-hole championship course in 2002 under Kuronen's direction, the course was built to establish a premier 36-hole facility alongside the older Kalkki-Petteri course. The club has served as a prominent venue for Finnish amateur championships and regional professional events.
Did You Know? The course is named in honor of Saint Lawrence (Pyhä Lauri), who is the patron saint of the nearby historic 15th-century Gothic stone church in Lohja. This historic connection reflects the club's deep roots in the local community.
