Overview: St. Eurach Land- und Golfclub occupies an elevated Bavarian setting near Iffeldorf, with wide views towards the Alps, Zugspitze and Karwendel. The parkland course uses gently rolling ground, mature trees and open sightlines to create a round that feels both spacious and carefully framed. The architecture is strategic without being showy: players are asked to choose their lines across the landscape, then control approaches into greens that reflect the surrounding movement.
History: The St. Eurach project began in 1971 when its founders found the Obereurach estate and secured a long lease. Donald Harradine prepared the course design in 1972. The first nine holes entered play in May 1974, the second nine followed in July, and the complete course was formally inaugurated on 15 June 1975. St. Eurach later hosted the BMW International Open in 1994, 1995 and 1996, bringing the course to a wider international audience.
Did You Know? The 1977 Braun International Trophy was won by Severiano Ballesteros at St. Eurach with a score of 22 under par. The event was one of the early signs that this alpine parkland course could test elite tournament golf.
