Overview: Southern Oaks is an 18-hole championship course in The Villages, designed by Kenny Ezell. The official scorecard lists a par 72 routing of 6,512 yards from the gold tees, with multiple tee sets and a parkland setting tailored to a wide range of resident golfers and guests.
History: The course opened for play in November 2021, after The Villages announced a first-tee date of November 6 and regular play beginning November 13. It joined the community's championship portfolio as a full-length course rather than one of the shorter executive layouts.
Did You Know? Each nine uses three par threes, three par fours and three par fives. That 3-3-3 structure is a deliberate scorecard signature, giving Southern Oaks an unusually even mix of hole types from the opening tee to the finish.
