Overview: Designed by Seth Raynor, Southampton Golf Club is a private course situated on the East End of Long Island. The routing features classic Raynor template holes, including a Redan, a Biarritz, and an Eden, adapted to the sandy, pine-lined topography.
History: Opened in 1927, the course was completed under the guidance of Charles Banks following Raynor's death. It is located directly adjacent to the historic Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, sharing the same sandy terrain.
Did You Know? The layout was designed to be played in shifting coastal winds, with open fairway fronts that allow players to use the ground game to run their ball onto the greens.
