Overview: Located near Tinglev in southern Jutland, Sønderjyllands Golfklub is an 18-hole parkland and woodland course featuring a classic Scandinavian layout. Winding through dense pine forests and open, heather-clad plains, the course is characterized by tight, tree-lined fairways and small, subtly sloped greens. The layout requires precision off the tee to avoid the mature trees and strategic course management to navigate the crossing streams and natural wetlands.
History: Founded in 1969, Sønderjyllands is one of the oldest golf clubs in the region, initially playing on a 9-hole routing before expanding to a full 18-hole championship layout. The course has maintained its classic, highly natural character over the decades, hosting numerous regional tournaments and serving as a key center for amateur golf in southern Denmark.
Did You Know? The course is situated on historic borderland near the Danish-German frontier. The peaceful, secluded forest setting provides a tranquil environment where players frequently encounter native roe deer and rare bird species during their round.
