Overview: Son Gual is a private, family-run 18-hole parkland course near Palma de Mallorca, set across 156 hectares of Mediterranean landscape. Thomas Himmel's design combines open fairways, large sculpted bunkers, water features, and mature olive trees with long views toward the Tramuntana mountains.
History: Son Gual opened in 2007 after the project began in the 1990s and the property was assembled as a large finca. Thomas Himmel designed the course, which soon hosted the Son Gual Mallorca Senior Open and entered European course discussions.
Did You Know? Son Gual includes a very large bunker on the second hole, while the property contains close to 1,000 olive trees. Broad Mediterranean scale is paired with hazards that demand precise placement.
