Overview: Somerby presents 18 holes, with a standard par of 72, across a rolling Byron property. John Fought and Tom Lehman used wetlands, lakes, and broad corridors to create its private parkland character.
History: The course opened for member and guest play in 2004. Its early tournament profile included Nationwide Tour events, and the club has also pursued environmental stewardship through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary program.
Did You Know? Somerby has been used for professional-level competition despite its private-club setting. The course’s combination of wetlands, water, and tournament yardage was part of the reason it attracted Nationwide Tour events.
