Overview: Located in Sölvesborg in southern Sweden, Sölvesborg Golfklubb is a highly regarded 18-hole woodland and coastal course. Winding through dense pine forests and opening up to views of the Baltic Sea, the layout features tight, tree-lined fairways, deep natural bunkers, and firm, fast putting surfaces. The course demands accurate ball placement off the tee to navigate the mature forest corridors and precise distance control on the exposed coastal holes.
History: Opened in 1989, the course was built to establish a premier competitive venue in Blekinge County. The layout was carefully integrated into the sandy coastal soil, ensuring excellent natural drainage that allows the course to remain playable year-round, except during periods of heavy frost or snow.
Did You Know? The course is built on a sandy, pine-covered peninsula that stretches into the Sölvesborg bay. The sandy subsoil provides a links-like firmness to the fairways, allowing players to utilize creative ground-game shots.
