Overview: Soldier Hollow's Silver Course is the more forgiving of the two 18-hole layouts at the Midway complex, but its par-72 routing still uses elevation, native landscape, and broad mountain views to create a serious test. Gene Bates shaped the course as a public facility with a clear connection to the surrounding Wasatch terrain.
History: The Soldier Hollow golf complex opened in July 2004 after the site had hosted biathlon during the 2002 Winter Olympics. The Silver Course is described by the facility as the tamer of the two layouts, with six par fives, six par fours, and six par threes.
Did You Know? The Soldier Hollow property served as a venue for biathlon during the 2002 Winter Olympics before the golf complex opened.
