Overview: Situated near the coast in southwestern Norway, Sola Golfklubb is an 18-hole parkland course designed by Svein Drange Olsnes. The layout features wide fairways, strategic sand traps, and a series of lakes and winding streams. Wylihof-like, the course demands strategic positioning off the tee and accurate approach shots to reach the well-defended putting surfaces.
History: Founded in 1992, the course was built to bring championship-caliber golf to the Stavanger region. Olsnes carefully routed the holes to preserve the natural coastal contours and wetlands. The course has established a reputation for its excellent turf conditions and has hosted several major national championships.
Did You Know? The course lies in close proximity to the historic Sola Airport and the ruins of the medieval Sola Church. This proximity offers a unique blend of modern transportation and ancient history as a backdrop for a round of golf.
