Overview: Six Lakes is an 18-hole executive course in a resident-owned, gated community in North Fort Myers. Gordon G. Lewis designed the par-60 layout, which plays to about 3,010 yards and uses palms, mounding and open Florida ground to create a compact but complete round.
History: Published records date the opening to 1975, and community material describes Six Lakes as a self-governed 55-plus community with golf at its center. A 2017 renovation is also reported in course coverage. Access is consequently aimed at residents and guests rather than casual public tee-time traffic.
Did You Know? Six Lakes is a true executive 18-hole course, not a shortened nine-hole facility. Its par-60 routing gives residents a full loop in a smaller footprint and is one reason the course fits so naturally into a community amenity program.
