Siwanoy Country Club

Overview: Siwanoy Country Club is a private Bronxville parkland course whose identity is rooted in Donald Ross's work. Tree-lined fairways, rolling ground and carefully proportioned greens produce a traditional layout in which the approach shot is usually the decisive part of the hole.

History: Siwanoy's 18-hole course dates to 1913, with the club's earlier golf development preceding it. Robert Trent Jones made significant changes in 1952, so the course seen today is a Ross foundation shaped by later twentieth-century restoration and modernization.

Did You Know? The original 18-hole course played as a par 73 and measured about 6,251 yards. Later changes reduced the par and altered the yardage, making the club's historical scorecard an instructive comparison with the modern one.
