Overview: Silver Dollar's Gator/Panther routing combines two of the three nines at the Odessa facility. The 18-hole combination plays to par 72 and about 6,489 yards, with a parkland setting, water and the broad, playable character associated with a multi-nine community course.
History: Course records credit Dan Maddox and commonly place the facility's opening in the late 1980s. Silver Dollar has continued as a local public golf operation with a pro shop, practice area and restaurant, while the three-nine format lets the club vary the daily 18-hole routing.
Did You Know? The property has three named nines: Gator, Panther and Bobcat. Gator/Panther is therefore one of three possible 18-hole combinations, a useful detail when comparing scorecards or confirming which routing is scheduled before a round.
